FRAME OF REFERENCE: Engineered for maximum speed through ruthlessly efficient power transfer and precise handling, the Epic WC sets new standards in torsional rigidity and bottom bracket stiffness. This was achieved by merging a structurally superior double diamond layout with an integrated shock in the top tube, finished with the most advanced composite layup in Specialized's history.
SHOCKINGLY FAST: The Ride Dynamics team developed a revolutionary shock system that delivers hardtail-like efficiency and snappy response with the control and momentum of full suspension. Co-developed with RockShox, the SID Deluxe WCID shock features independently adjustable positive and negative air springs, allowing personalized tuning for specific courses or rider preferences. Set it firm for hardtail-like speed, or soften it for a plush, trail-devouring ride.
PUNCHING ABOVE ITS CATEGORY: The Epic WC’s 75mm of rear travel provides the control of a much longer travel bike. Designed to ride near full extension, it matches the positive travel of a 100mm bike with 25% sag. The Ride Dynamics team tuned the spring rate for optimal mid-stroke support, while the industry-first Mega Jounce Bumper ensures smooth bottom-out management on big impacts.
